Atmosphere over spectacle. London beyond the postcard image.

Layers of London is the Curious Londoner’s signature London photography project, created to capture the city beyond its postcard image.
Rather than focusing only on famous landmarks, the project explores the overlooked beauty, shifting moods and quiet details that shape everyday life across London. From rain-soaked reflections and fragments of architecture to passing strangers, hidden light and weathered textures, each photograph reveals a version of the city that often goes unnoticed.
This is London seen through atmosphere rather than spectacle: layered, imperfect, restless and deeply human. These prints are not about showing London as tourists expect to see it, but about capturing how it feels to move through the city, one detail at a time.
Not every photograph from the Layers of London project is listed in the shop. If an image catches your eye, please get in touch and I’ll be happy to discuss print options, sizes and availability.
